Hero shard requirements and collection information
Hero Shards are pieces needed to upgrade a hero's star level in Kingshot. Raising star levels unlocks new skills, allows leveling up existing skills, gives significant power boosts, and unlocks the hero's story.
Total Shards Needed
- Total to max out a hero: 1,065 Hero Shards (across all 5 star levels)
- Unlock requirements: Amadeus (20 shards), Chenko (40 shards), All other heroes (10 shards)

Types of Hero Shards
There are two main types of hero shards in Kingshot:
- General Hero Shards: Can be exchanged for any hero's fragments (matching rarity required). Exception: Cannot use for Amadeus or Helga
- Hero-Specific Shards: Automatically assigned to their specific hero. Amadeus and Helga can ONLY be upgraded with their specific shards
